 By submitting this booking request and securing my services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Booking & Payment Policy

• Non-Refundable Retainer: A 50% retainer is required to secure your date and time. This retainer is strictly non-refundable as it reserves a dedicated block on my calendar, causing me to turn down other potential clients.
• Payment Balance: The remaining balance for all services must be paid in full at least 30 days prior to the scheduled event or appointment.

Punctuality & Delays

• Grace Period: Please ensure all parties, required witnesses, and physical identification documents are ready at the scheduled start time. A grace period of 15 minutes is permitted.
• Late Fees: Delays exceeding 15 minutes may result in a late fee of $30 or rescheduling, subject to my availability. If a session must be rescheduled due to client delays, the original travel fee remains fully earned and non-refundable.

Identification & Legal Requirements

• Valid Identification: For all notary and signing services (including Remote Online Notarization/RON), signers must present a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID.
• Identity Verification: For RON signings, signers must successfully pass the automated identity verification process. If a signing cannot be completed due to an invalid ID, missing ID, or failed verification, the session fee is non-refundable.
• Legal Witness Provision: Clients are entirely responsible for providing their own legal witnesses if required by the document type. Witnesses must meet all statutory requirements (e.g., over 18, sound mind, and not named in the document).
• Florida Marriage Licenses: It is the couple’s sole responsibility to present a valid, original Florida Marriage License to the officiant before the ceremony can begin. By law, I cannot perform a marriage ceremony without this physical license in hand.

Legal Disclaimers & Right to Refuse Service

• Non-Attorney Disclaimer: I am a Notary Public, not an attorney licensed to practice law. I cannot give legal advice, draft legal documents, or interpret document text. It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure the document is filled out correctly and complies with the receiving party's requirements.
• Sober Consent Policy: Per Florida law, a marriage ceremony requires the mutual, conscious, and completely sober Declaration of Intent from both parties. I strictly reserve the right to refuse to perform the wedding ceremony if either individual appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if voluntary consent cannot be verified.
• Safe Environment Policy: Services will only be rendered in environments that are clean, physically safe, and free from verbal abuse, threats, or harassment. If I feel unsafe or uncomfortable upon arrival at a mobile location, I reserve the right to cancel the session immediately. In such cases, the full session fee remains non-refundable.

Force Majeure & Limitation of Liability

• Unforeseen Emergencies: If an unforeseen emergency, accident, illness, extreme weather event (such as a hurricane), or Act of God prevents me from attending your appointment or ceremony, I will make every logical attempt to secure a qualified replacement.
• Liability Cap: If a replacement cannot be found, my total liability is strictly limited to a full refund of any fees paid to me by the client. I cannot be held liable for any secondary, consequential, or emotional damages.
